Aam Doi is a variation of Mishti Doi. It is a combination of Mango pulp and Mishti Doi. This Dessert is most demanding in summer days as mangoes are the most favorite fruit of summers. This Aam Doi tastes delicious and refreshing.The recipe of this Doi is simple and easy and same as Bhapa Doi except adding mango in it.
Instructions to make Aam Doi :
- Take the ripe mangoes, peel and chop it into chunks. Grind the chunks in a food processor to make mango puree. Pour the mango puree into a bowl.
- Prepare hung curd :Take sieve and a cloth in a large bowl, add curd in the bowl. Tie the ends of the cloth tightly and hang it for 1 hour or so. Squeeze off extra water, you will get your hung curd.
- Place kadhai or pan on the low or low-medium heat, add milk until it reduces to ¼ its quantity then takes it off the heat .
- Add hung curd, Condensed milk and Mango pulp all together in a deep bowl. Blend them very well making sure there are no lumps
- Pour the mixture in small ramekin bowls, earthen pots or Kulhads.
- Cover the tops with aluminium foil.
- Put the doi in the steamer. If you are using microwave/ oven then put doi inside preheated microwave/ oven . To check if the pudding is cooked perfectly or not, insert a toothpick in it. It should come out clean.
- Keep them to the room temperature and when its set properly, Keep them in a refrigerator for 4-6 hours.
- Garnish with dry fruits or nuts. Serve Mango Doi to your family and family.
